• Install WordPress on a local or staging environment and configure the settings that matter on day one, including permalinks.
• Choose and install a block theme, then set the colour palette, typography and spacing in the Site Editor so the whole site changes from one place.
• Edit templates and template parts, including the header, footer, page template and single post template.
• Build the five pages of a supplied brief from blocks and patterns, reusing sections instead of rebuilding them.
• Set up a blog with posts, categories, an archive and a single post layout.
