Firefly makes a convincing image in fifteen seconds and a usable one in about forty minutes. The gap between the two is the point of this course. A generated hero image that is close but not on-brand, at the wrong aspect ratio, with a hand that will not survive a print check, costs more time than it saves. You spend the day learning to steer the model instead of rolling the dice.

The morning is prompting as a discipline. You write for subject, lighting, lens, material and composition rather than typing a noun, control aspect ratio and negative space so the art director has room for a headline, generate variations in a structured sheet a client can choose from, and keep an iteration log so a good result can be reproduced next week. You then move to reference-driven work: matching the structure of an existing layout, matching the style of a supplied brand image, and holding one look across a set of six images that have to sit together in a campaign.

The afternoon covers the rest of the Firefly toolset and the work around it. You produce a text effect for a campaign headline, generate vector artwork and finish it as editable paths in Illustrator, recolour an existing vector set into three brand palettes in seconds, and fill and expand an existing photograph to a new crop. You also learn to recognise the failure modes early, so you stop regenerating and start correcting in Photoshop, which is usually faster.

The last module is the part clients and legal teams ask about. You inspect the Content Credentials attached to Firefly output, see what provenance travels with a file, and draft a short internal position on disclosure and sign-off. Adobe states that its Firefly models are trained on Adobe Stock and openly licensed or public domain content, and offers indemnification on some business plans. The course shows you where to verify that for your own subscription rather than taking it on trust, and where generative credits are consumed so you are not stopped mid-project.

Content is mapped to the domains of the Adobe Certified Professional in Adobe Firefly exam, delivered by Certiport at authorised test centres, and the day closes with a timed practice task. MyLearnPlus does not award the Adobe credential and no course can guarantee a pass. The class runs live online or in the classroom in Colombo, priced in LKR for Sri Lanka and USD internationally, and can be run privately on your own brand material.
