Almost every organisation runs on PDFs and almost nobody is taught Acrobat. So a report is rebuilt in Word because nobody knows the text can be edited in place, a form is printed and scanned back in because nobody has built an interactive one, and a confidential name is hidden with a black rectangle that anyone can move. This course fixes the specific things that cost real time and, in the case of that black rectangle, real money.

The morning is documents. You combine a set of Word files, images and scans into a single ordered PDF with bookmarks, run text recognition on a scan so it becomes searchable, edit text and images in place, export to Word and Excel and see honestly what survives the trip, and compare two versions of a contract so the changes are listed rather than hunted for. You then run a review properly: collecting comments from several people into one file, summarising them, and sending a document for electronic signature and tracking who has signed.

The afternoon is the work that needs care. You build an interactive form from a flat layout with text fields, checkboxes, dropdowns and a calculated total, set the tab order so it can be completed with the keyboard, distribute it and collect the responses. You then redact properly and sanitise the file so removed content is genuinely gone, and set passwords and permissions understanding what they do and do not stop.

The final modules cover accessibility and repetition. You run the Accessibility Checker on a supplied report, fix the issues it lists, correct the tag structure and reading order, add alternative text and table headers, and set the document language and title. This is the technique used to work towards PDF/UA and WCAG criteria; whether a given document meets your organisation's obligations is a matter for your own testing and advisers, and this course is training rather than legal advice. You finish by turning the routine parts of all of this into a repeatable Action with the Action Wizard.

Content is mapped to the domains of the Adobe Certified Professional in Adobe Acrobat Pro exam, delivered by Certiport at authorised test centres, and the day ends with a timed practice task. MyLearnPlus does not award the Adobe credential and no course can guarantee a pass. The class runs live online or in the classroom in Colombo, priced in LKR for Sri Lanka and USD internationally.
