AI for Marketing

For marketing teams who publish every week and need AI output that stays on brand

මෙම පාඨමාලාව ගැන

Marketing was the first department where AI arrived at scale, and it shows. The volume of published material has gone up and the amount of it worth reading has not. This course is about the difference. It assumes you already have a brand, a budget and a deadline, and that what you need is work you can put your name on, produced faster than you produce it now.

Day one starts with voice, because every other exercise depends on it. You take your own best published work and build a brand voice prompt from it: the vocabulary, the sentence length, the claims you are permitted to make, the words your organisation never uses. Then you use it. One campaign message becomes a landing page, three advert variants that differ in one deliberate way, an email sequence and a set of social posts, all in the same voice. Alongside that you learn to research an audience with an assistant and then verify what comes back, because a confident invented statistic in a client deck costs far more than the hour it saved.

Day two is production and channels. You generate on-brand images in Adobe Firefly, using style references so the third image still looks like the first, and resize one design for every placement in Adobe Express with a brand kit doing the repetitive work. You cut a long asset into a month of social posts shaped for each platform. Campaigns running in Sri Lanka get their own session on Sinhala and Tamil copy, where you test what a model produces, decide what needs a human translator, and work out how to keep a bilingual campaign consistent across channels.

The last half day is the part that protects the budget. You set up an A/B test with one variable, a metric that matters and a sample size you can realistically reach, so the result means something when it arrives. You summarise campaign and analytics data into a report that says what happened and what you changed, without letting an assistant invent a trend that is not in the numbers. Then you finish on the rules: what has to be disclosed, what a paid advert may not contain, and which customer data must never be pasted into a public assistant.

You leave with a brand voice prompt, a campaign plan, a complete set of assets for one campaign, a social calendar and a test plan, all built on your own brand rather than a sample one. The course runs live online, in the classroom in Colombo, or privately for a marketing team, and is priced in LKR for Sri Lanka and USD internationally.

ඔබට කළ හැකි වන දේ

  • Build a reusable brand voice prompt from your own published work, with the vocabulary, claims and prohibitions written into it.
  • Turn a campaign brief into a content plan covering message, channels, formats, owners and dates.
  • Research an audience and a competitor with an assistant, and verify every figure before it reaches a deck.
  • Produce a landing page, three advert variants and an email sequence from a single campaign message, in your own voice.
  • Write an SEO content brief covering search intent, headings and internal links, and draft against it without keyword stuffing.
  • Generate on-brand campaign images in Adobe Firefly using style references, and resize one design for every placement in Adobe Express.
  • Cut one long asset into a month of social posts shaped for each platform's format and length.
  • Localise a campaign for Sri Lanka in Sinhala and Tamil, and judge which parts need a human translator.
  • Set up an A/B test with one variable, a metric that matters and a sample size you can actually reach.
  • Report campaign results to a client or a board, and apply disclosure, brand safety and customer data rules to AI-assisted work.

මෙය කා සඳහාද

  • Marketing executives and managers running campaigns with a small team
  • Content and social media managers publishing to a weekly schedule
  • Agency account and creative staff producing work for several clients at once
  • Founders and business owners writing their own marketing
  • Communications and PR staff who have to write for several audiences from one message

කලින් ඔබට අවශ්‍ය දේ

  • You should work in marketing or communications already, with a brand and a campaign you can bring to the exercises.
  • You should have used an AI assistant for a few real tasks. AI Assistants at Work covers that ground if you have not.
  • No design or coding background is needed. Adobe Firefly and Adobe Express are taught from the beginning in this course.

MyLearnPlus AI Faculty

Working practitioners teaching the AI and generative AI track

The AI track is taught by people who use these tools in paid work every week: prompt and workflow design, assistants deployed inside real teams, automation built and maintained, generative imagery taken to a finished deliverable, and the governance conversations that follow. We are deliberate about credentials here. There is no independent, universally recognised certification for generative AI practice in the way there is for Adobe software, so we do not display one. What we require instead is evidence: work that shipped, tools used in production rather than demonstrated once, and the ability to say clearly where a model is unreliable. An instructor who cannot show you a failure case is not ready to teach this material.

Because the tools change between cohorts, the AI faculty carry an obligation the Adobe faculty do not: every course is re-checked against the current versions of the products it teaches before each scheduled run, and anything that has moved is corrected in the slides, the exercise files and the workbook. Classes are staffed one instructor per cohort, named in your joining instructions, with a second instructor assisting on large private groups and on hands-on build sessions where people need help at their own screen. A new instructor teaches the syllabus under observation before running it alone, and a substitute teaches the same syllabus from the same materials.

මිනිසුන් අසන ප්‍රශ්න

Do I need my own laptop?
Yes, and it does not need anything installed. Everything runs in a browser: the AI assistants, Adobe Express, Adobe Firefly and the templates. Bring your own brand material as well, because the voice exercise uses your published work rather than a sample brand. The same applies whether you join live online or come to the classroom in Colombo.
Is the software included in the price?
No, and you do not need a paid subscription to take part. Adobe Express and Adobe Firefly both have free plans that cover the class exercises, and the assistant work can be done on a free account, although paid tiers are faster and have longer limits. If your organisation already has Creative Cloud, use that. Plan allowances change, so check them on Adobe's site before the day.
Which AI tools do you use in class?
The prompting exercises are written to work on any of the mainstream assistants, so you use whichever one your organisation has approved. Image work is done in Adobe Firefly and Adobe Express. We do not sell or resell any of these products and we make no recommendation about which to buy.
Will the copy still sound like it was written by AI?
That is the problem the course is built around. The voice prompt, the editing session on cutting the tells and the false specifics, and the verification exercise all exist because unedited output is recognisable and reads as cheap. You are taught to use the tool for the draft and the variants, and to keep the judgement about what ships.
Does this replace a copywriter or an agency?
No, and the course does not claim it will. What changes is where the human effort goes: less of it on first drafts and resizing, more on the offer, the audience and the edit. Teams generally find they produce and test more variants, not that they need fewer people who can write.
What if I miss a day, and do you issue a certificate?
Both days are recorded and available to you for twelve months, and every live booking includes one free repeat of the same class, with the terms shown on the booking page for each date. You receive a MyLearnPlus certificate of completion recording the course title, hours and date, which is a record of training rather than an industry credential.
Can my employer be invoiced, and can you run this for our team?
Yes to both. We invoice organisations against a purchase order, in LKR for Sri Lankan companies and in USD internationally. A private run uses your own brand, your own channel mix and a campaign you are about to launch, so the assets built during the two days are ones you can actually use.
