About this course
One day of prompt technique: structure, examples, output formats, grounding in your own sources, diagnosing failures and building tested, reusable templates.
What you'll be able to do
- Write a prompt that separately states the task, the context, the constraints and the required output format.
- Keep instructions and source material apart with clear delimiters so the content cannot be read as a command.
- Add worked examples to a prompt and measure the difference they make on the same input.
- Specify an output contract, including a table with fixed columns or a JSON object with named fields, that a downstream system can rely on.
- Ground an answer in your own document, require a quoted source passage, and force the model to say when the answer is not there.
- Break a task that is too large for one prompt into a chain of steps that can each be checked.
