About this course

Two days on advanced masking, smart objects, colour grading, composite work and actions, for people who already use Photoshop most weeks.

What you'll be able to do

• Build a channel-based mask that holds flyaway hair against a new, busier background.
• Use Blend If and layer blending options to composite a subject into a scene without a visible halo.
• Convert a working file to smart objects and apply Camera Raw and sharpening as editable smart filters.
• Grade an image to a written brief using per-channel Curves, Selective Colour and a gradient map.
• Match the colour, contrast and light direction of two photographs shot in different conditions.
• Paint a contact shadow and a cast shadow so a placed object sits believably on a surface.
