About this course

Four days of After Effects: shape animation, kinetic type, tracking, rotoscoping, Essential Graphics templates and delivery, with ACP exam practice.

What you'll be able to do

• Set up a composition with the correct frame size, frame rate and duration for a named delivery spec, and organise the project so a colleague can open it.
• Animate transform properties with keyframes, then control the feel of the move with easing and the graph editor rather than by adding more keyframes.
• Build an animated logo sting from shape layers using path animation, trim paths and repeaters.
• Produce a kinetic typography piece cut to a voice track using text animators and range selectors.
• Structure a longer sequence with precomps, parenting and null objects, and reuse a single element at three different scales.
• Animate a lower third over moving footage using masks, track mattes and a two-point track so it stays locked to the shot.
