About this course

A two-day introduction to Adobe Illustrator: draw with the Pen tool, build a logo and an icon set, and export artwork a printer will accept.

What you'll be able to do

• Set up a document with the right artboards, colour mode, bleed and units for print and for screen
• Draw accurate paths with the Pen tool by tracing a supplied sketch through to a finished icon
• Build a six-icon set on a shared 24 px grid so the icons hold together at small size and at poster size
• Construct a wordmark using Shape Builder and Pathfinder, then keep both an outlined and an editable master
• Apply global swatches and colour groups so that recolouring a whole design is a single edit
• Set point type, area type and type on a path, and control it with character and paragraph styles
