Most training in Sri Lanka is sold from Colombo, which means anyone working in Kandy pays for the course twice: once at the checkout and once in a day of travel, a night in a guest house and a morning lost on the A1. Our Kandy dates exist to remove that second cost. The syllabus, the exercise files, the workbook, the recording and the certificate are identical to the Colombo and live online versions of the same course, and the price is quoted in LKR in exactly the same way.
The people who book here look different from a Colombo intake. Kandy and the hill country run on tourism, hospitality, education, print and packaging, and the gem and jewellery trade, and the marketing teams in those organisations are small. One person is often responsible for the social feed, the printed rate card, the property photography and now the AI experiments as well. Photographers who shoot weddings and the Esala Perahera season need Lightroom and Photoshop to survive a real volume of files rather than to retouch one image beautifully. Hotel and tour operator staff need InDesign for menus, rate cards and brochures that print correctly the first time. Lecturers, school media staff and students from the universities and campuses around the city, Peradeniya included, come for the same reason: the software is a hiring requirement and nobody has taught it properly.
Kandy classroom dates are scheduled to demand rather than every week, and the schedule on this site is the authority on what is currently running. Two other routes are usually faster. A private class for a team of about five or more can be run at your own premises anywhere in the Central Province, with the exercises replaced by your own photographs, documents and brand, and that generally works out cheaper than sending people to Colombo. Or you take the same course live online, from your own desk, on a date that already exists. Kandy dates are scheduled to demand and the room is booked for each one, so the address, parking and access notes go out with the joining instructions for your date rather than being published here.
Come with your own laptop if you can. Everything you build in class stays on your own machine, which matters more when you are two hours from us and cannot drop in to collect a file. We check that the software is installed and licensed before the first session and run a setup check for anyone who wants one, because a morning lost to an Adobe sign-in problem is a morning nobody gets back. Learners travelling in from Matale, Kurunegala, Nuwara Eliya and Badulla usually prefer consecutive days for the same reason Colombo learners do, so multi-day courses run back to back.
Two practical points that come up in almost every Kandy enquiry. Employers, including hotels, schools and NGOs, can be invoiced in LKR against a purchase order, and we hold the seats while the paperwork moves. And on certification: the Adobe Certified Professional credential is Adobe's, delivered through Certiport at authorised test centres, with the voucher bought separately, so you will need to sit the exam at a centre rather than with us. Our courses are built against the published exam objectives and we will tell you plainly which exam matches which course, but we cannot award the certification and cannot guarantee a pass.
